Literature Text

In some amber woods I did awoke,
And played with it did I,
Far too long, should I say,
Then ran elsewhere

I was always afraid of the future,
I had to thank Perry for what he did,
Lest I be forever vassalized,
And my ink never used

Yet I believed in my misconception,
What fool wouldn’t?
I said I would not have regrets,
And I am not sorry for the life I could not live

I returned to the woods,
No one greeted me,
I took off my coat,
I was never gone
Title:  Fork.

Description:

A bit of an older work, but I thought it was worth the upload.  I wrote this piece during my first semester as a college sophomore.  By then, that was my second semester as a history student but I was officially getting into my upper level history classes.  I was very adamant about being an engineer until I realized, my first day, I couldn’t be doing this for the rest of my life.

I thought it better to summarize my experience at the time.  Hence, the poem.

Seems like backtracking experiences is the norm for all.

Good expression of that^
